Q: How does this work? Do you REALLY give away 1/3 of your profits?

A: Yes, we really do. The way it works is that when a loan closes and we receive our payment, at that time we make a donation in your name to the not for profit organization of your choice. Since we dont exactly know what our profits will be until the end of the year, the amount of the donation will be at least $100 and may be up to $200 or more, depending on our revenues on your transaction. At the end of the year when our accountants figure out our total profits, one of two things will happen. If it turns out that we have given away more than 1/3 of our profits, nothing will happen. We will feel good knowing we have supported organizations that are doing important work in our world. We will not count any extra giving towards next year's giving or any such thing. Its just extra giving for that year. If on the other hand, our donations fell short of the 1/3 goal, then we will make additional donations at that time to make up for the shortfall. These donations will go towards our customers' favorite charities based on who we gave to that year, and we may reserve a small portion of the year end giving to sponsor a special charitable project that our employees choose.

Q: How can you afford to give away 1/3 of your profits? Do you charge us more or provide us with sub-standard service?

A: In short, we can give away a large portion of our profits because we, the founders and owners of the company, believe strongly enough in our mission that it is worth taking home 1/3 less of the profits generated by our investments of time and energy in this company. We do not charge you more, and in fact, we will always offer you the lowest possible rate, the 'par rate', as discussed in Pricing. Furthermore, we promise to offer you prompt, professional service that exceeds industry standards.
