Feynman, Ricard
Six easy pieces : essentials of physics, explained by its
most brilliant teacher
Presents six of the easiest chapters from the Nobel
Prize winner's celebrated text Lectures in Physics,
originally published in 1963, which comprised the lectures
he prepared for undergraduate students at Caltech in the
early 1960s. Addressing key topics in largely qualitative
terms without formal mathematics, the six selections discuss
atoms in motion, basic physics, the relation of physics to
other sciences, conservation of energy, the theory of
gravitation, and quantum behavior.

Feynman, Ricard
The pleasure of finding things out : the best short works of
Richard P. Feynman
Comprises 13 pieces--interviews, speeches, lectures, and
printed articles--on all sorts of topics, by the inimitable
physicist. Many (most) are available elsewhere, but it's fun
to have them collected here. Freeman Dyson provides the foreword;
editor Robbins briefly introduces the collection and each selection.

Perfectly reasonable deviations from the beaten track : the letters of
Richard P. Feynman
In this career-spanning collection of letters, many published here
for the first time, we are able to see this side of Feynman like
never before. Perfectly Reasonable Deviations from the Beaten Track
covers a dazzling array of topics and themes, scientific developments
and personal histories. With missives to and from scientific luminaries,
as well as letters to and from fans, family, students, crackpots, as
well as everyday people eager for Feynman's wisdom and counsel, the
result is a de facto guide to life, and eloquent testimony to the human
quest for knowledge at all levels.

Feynman, Richard
Richard Phillips Feynman (May 11, 1918 - February
15, 1988) was an American physicist known for his ground-breaking
work on quantum mechanics and the theory of quantum electrodynamics;
but perhaps he is more famous for his writings that popularize
science and provide a quirkly look at the life a scientist.
Feynman's most popular works are "Surely You're Joking, Mr.
Feynman!" and its companion volume, "What Do You Care What Other
People Think?". For students of physics, there may be no better
introduction to the study of physics than the three volume
"Feynman Lectures on Physics", containing the transcription of
his physics course given at Caltech in the early 1960's.
